Class is back in session…
Sophronia continues her second year at finishing school in style–with a steel-bladed fan secreted in the folds of her ball gown, of course. Such a fashionable choice of weapon comes in handy when Sophronia, her best friend Dimity, sweet sootie Soap, and the charming Lord Felix Mersey stowaway on a train to return their classmate Sidheag to her werewolf pack in Scotland. No one suspected what–or who–they would find aboard that suspiciously empty train. Sophronia uncovers a plot that threatens to throw all of London into chaos and she must decide where her loyalties lie, once and for all.

Gather your poison, steel tipped quill, and the rest of your school supplies and join Mademoiselle Geraldine’s proper young killing machines in the third rousing installment in the New York Times bestselling Finishing School Series by steampunk author, Gail Carriger.

Yes we are now onto the werewolves in this series. So excited! At least that was what I was thinking when I started reading this. It did not happen as I thought it might. Sophronia is back at it again but this time we will see her growing into the Mademoiselle Geraldine’s proper young lady that she is meant to be. They get to start learning about seduction and fan blades. Sophronia has her choice of patrons even without finishing yet. Which is a feet in on itself.

Sophronia this time around is helping her friend, Sidheag, get home to her pack because of some major issues. What they get involved in deals with the vampires because Monica is there and the Pickleman. Surprisingly we will see a lot of people that have been in the first two books. Plus we will see a plot that most would not think about but it does make sense. Some of her friends move on to different things in their lives and it is sad/happy times because it is what they want. I just wonder what the next book will be about. I feel for Sophronia having to deal with change and everything else that she learned in this book. I can definitely say that I am completely hooked on this series. But to be completely honest I did not enjoy this one as much as the first two.

Since this has not been released yet I have included where you can purchase them. Links below

  1. That’s too bad that it wasn’t as good as the first two, hopefully it picks up in the fourth. That’s why it’s hard writing a series, because change has to happen, but nobody likes it. (especially me)
