Overview
Trinity, Connor, and Caleb are trying to stay under the radar, holed up in an abandoned West Texas farmhouse. Their only problem is Emmy: a baby dragon that’s growing like crazy. When Emmy is caught on tape and the video goes viral, they find themselves on the run again. Their only hope comes from an old map leading to a man who has come from the future to help them. But with the government hot on their heels and Caleb’s growing addiction to spending time in the Nether world, will they be able to reach him in time? And will keeping Emmy safe end up being too high a price for Trinity to pay.

Review….
This was a modern twist about dragons in our world.  Well really there is only one dragon now, Emmy. Emmy is bonded with Trinity but they still are having to run from the government and the Draken. Emmy has powers that help save people’s lives but she can only do so much.  One thing after another happens to the Dragon Team that keep them having to move forward. Conner is there trying to keep everyone safe while Caleb goes to the Nether world more times becoming addicted.

This seems more like a teen book then children’s.  It is fun with adventures while talking on Sci Fi with a little fantasy.  You keep wanting to finish the book just to know what happens and if everyone is finally safe.  I would recommend it but you need to read Scorched first to really understand what is happening. Even though Shattered goes into some details about what happened it is not the same as reading it first hand.
